DWF review the recent Privy Council decision in Charles B Lawrence & Associates v Inter-commercial Bank Ltd (Trinidad and Tobago) [2021] UKPC 30 in which the Privy Council allowed the valuer's appeal and, pursuant to MBS v Grant Thornton and Khan v Meadows, ruled that loss suffered by virtue of a landowner's defective title was outside the scope of the valuer's duty of care and thereby irrecoverable.
