FOIL Update – Solicitor’s Guideline Hourly Rates

As many members of FOIL will be aware, a working party of the Civil Justice Council is to embark on a review of the guideline hourly rates (GHR) allowed to solicitors. These have not been reviewed since 2010. FOIL questions whether a review of GHR is in fact required but assuming that it goes ahead, there are serious concerns about the proposed methodology to be adopted by the working party.
