On 23 September it was announced that the Scottish Civil Justice Council had approved rules mandating the use of Civil Online or direct digital submission for Simple Procedure claim forms. The rules have been developed following a request for change made by the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (SCTS) in June 2020. This was in response to the fact that due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, SCTS were conducting business in a new manner with an emphasis on digital means.
