As anyone involved in civil justice is well aware, the COVID-19 virus has resulted in very significant changes to the system. The court service has probably seen more change in the last six weeks than the government’s court reform programme introduced in the last decade. Not only has there been an immediate impact but, in many sectors, it is already recognised that the changes will affect the long-term handling of civil claims.
