There have been reports for some time of a significant increase in the volume of claims arising from the installation of cavity wall insulation (CWI). Insurance Post reported in September last year that AXA has seen a dramatic increase: following 100 claims up until August 2017, the number rose to 1200 by the end of 2017, and to 1800 by the end of March 2018, with the majority being public liability claims.
