Consultation on Insurance Contract law
The law Commission and the Scottish Law Commission have published a joint consultation paper on insurance contract law on 17 July 2007. The paper sets out provisional proposals for reform of the law on misrepresentation, non-disclosure and breach of warranty. The closing dates for responses is 16 November 2007. The paper can be accessed from the following site: http://www.lawcom.gov.uk/current_consultations.htm The Executive Committee are convening an interest group to coordinate FOIL's response and if there is interest from members we will convene a discussion meeting in October.
