The President's Charity 2018 Little Miracles

Hello, my name is Michael Clarke, I’m the Fundraising Manager for Little Miracles. I’d like to thank you all at FOIL for choosing us as your Charity of the Year. I look forward to supporting you throughout what I’m sure will be a fantastic partnership.

For those that don't know, Little Miracles supports families that have children with additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions.

We offer everything from fun free play sessions at our centre (The Spinney – based at Hartwell Way, Peterborough), home education, outdoor days and activities (such as our recent trip to Disney), counselling services, OT therapy and behavioural therapy for families in need. The list goes on! Just like everyone else, the children of Little Miracles need a place to play, laugh and create friendships. We provide this whilst the families can access the advice, support and care that they deserve.

I was speaking to one parent recently that said to me, “My son has disabilities. At school, he gets a lot of stares and comments - which really knocks his confidence. When he’s at a Little Miracles event - where everyone is in the same boat - he can truly be himself… a happy child.”

I feel it’s important for the children of Little Miracles to have this safe space, and it wouldn’t be possible without the support of people like you. So, once again, I, the rest of the Little Miracles team and the families we support would like to thank everybody at FOIL.

Should you want to visit The Spinney to see for yourself where the money is spent, I’d love to show you around.
